The National Cattleman’s Beef Association (NCBA) released a statement last week denying that U.S. cattle are receiving the COVID mRNA vaccine.
In a brief Wednesday statement titled, “NCBA Statement Correcting Internet Falsehoods About mRNA Vaccines in Cattle,” the NCBA claimed that mRNA vaccines are not currently licensed for use in the U.S.
“There are no current mRNA vaccines licensed for use in beef cattle in the United States. Cattle farmers and ranchers do vaccinate cattle to treat and prevent many diseases, but presently none of these vaccines include mRNA technology.”
But this doesn’t necessarily mean there is no mRNA product in the beef, or there won’t be in the future.
Attorney Thomas Renz warned that since Congress removed country of origin labeling on beef imports, the U.S. beef supply could already be tainted with mRNA product from the likes of China and other countries.

Notably, China has no regulatory burdens like the U.S. and has already been developing oral vaccines using cow’s milk to deliver mRNA technology.
Though the NCBA’s statement blames concerns about mRNA vaccine use on the beef supply on conspiracy theories and fake news, those worries are not unfounded.
Numerous states have been introducing bills to approve of COVID mRNA vaccines for livestock and plants in recent months.
Even the Texas Department of Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller addressed vaccine proposals for livestock, saying, “we have been working towards developing a fact and science-based assessment of the risks associated with this technology.”

If the beef lobbyists are claiming mRNA vaccine product isn’t in the beef supply, why are they resistant to Missouri’s House bill that would require labeling transparency for the U.S. food supply?
