Whistleblower: Fauci funded COVID development

If it’s a conspiracy theory, it is one that has a lot of evidence to back it up.A whistleblower from the EcoHealth Alliance has come forward with an allegation that COVID was manufactured in a lab–and the funding came from the CDC and was funneled through the EcoHealth Alliance. The whistleblower is no low-level factotum: it comes from the former Vice President of the organization himself.

A former vice president for the EcoHealth Alliance, a major funder of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, claims that his organization “developed” SARS-CoV-2 through gain-of-function research that makes viruses more dangerous.

“The process of developing SARS-COV2 was also described in detail in the proposal submitted to, and ultimately funded by, the National Institutes of Health (HHS NIH), The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), by EcoHealth Alliance with the WIV and [University of North Carolina] listed as collaborators,” according to the sworn declaration of Andrew Huff, who is represented by the attorney Thomas Renz.

The statement is included in a much larger packet dated Sept. 12 posted by Renz, who represents clients challenging COVID-19 mandates, apparently directed to Wisconsin GOP Sen. Ron Johnson, whose name is in the file name. The packet has irregular punctuation and capitalization throughout.

“Anthony Fauci funded the creation of SARS-COV2 and lied to Congress about funding Gain-of-Function work,” Renz wrote in the summary – a claim also recently made by former CDC Director Robert Redfield. “Anthony Fauci and others coordinated to cover-up the funding of the Gain-of-Function work that resulted in SARS-COV2.”

Huff, a former U.S. Army infantryman in Iraq and former research fellow in the Department of Homeland Security, shared the full packet on Twitter, saying it was “sent to the US Senate and Congress last week.” He has a book coming out this fall from Simon and Schuster, “The Truth About Wuhan.”

The allegation is not that Fauci or the EcoHealth alliance designed the virus to be released into the wild. Instead it was developed to aid in research intended to find ways to prevent pandemics from spreading. Presumably the virus was accidentally released in a lab leak from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, a recipient of EcoHealth Alliance funding.

There has been a concerted effort by the Fauci-led epidemiology community to downplay the possibility of a lab leak, and one of the reasons could be that funding so-called gain-of-function research is prohibited. If indeed Fauci funded gain-of-function research he is in big trouble. And it sure looks like he did.

One advocate of the lab leak hypothesis is none other than Robert Redfield, former head of the CDC. Redfield is no slouch in the field, obviously, but his theory has been buried by the Establishment and the Fauci-led community.

Robert Redfield told former Senate Finance Committee investigator Paul Thacker that National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci “knew” he funded gain-of-function research that makes viruses more dangerous, and “misled Congress” when he denied it,” but “[n]othing’s going to happen as long as the Biden administration is here.”

“Tony and I are friends, but we don’t agree on this at all,” Redfield said in an interview published in Thacker’s Disinformation Chronicle newsletter.

“Everyone had to agree to the narrative” pushed by Fauci and then-National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins that SARS-CoV-2 emerged from a “wet market” in Wuhan, not the Fauci-funded Wuhan Institute of Virology miles away, to avoid becoming a public target of the two officials, he said.

The virologist Redfield told the immunologist Fauci from the “second or third week in January” 2020 that “I’m very concerned that he was championing this theory that it came from animals.”

Redfield has been under attack since bucking the narrative that COVID had a natural origin. Epidemiologists circled the wagons around Fauci. Unsurprising since Tony holds the keys to the kingdom: funding for their research. Bucking the Establishment means giving up your access to the dollars it dispenses out. As long as Fauci and his minions control the money everybody else tends to fall in line.

Transmission doesn’t make sense under natural evolution, according to Redfield. “You have a virus that is one of the most infectious viruses in the history of humanity, and yet that virus no longer can infect the bat? … No, this is highly abnormal.”

Redfield said he believes The Lancet spring 2020 letter that lumped in the lab-leak hypothesis with “conspiracy theories” was “orchestrated … under direction of Fauci and Collins, trying to nip any attempt to have an honest investigation of the pandemic’s origin.”

“There was nothing scientific about that letter. It was just an attempt to intimidate people,” he also said.

The “conspiracy theory” trope has been very useful for the Left. They can silence opponents through censorship once they drop the magic words. Facebook and Twitter deplatform or silence people, and the MSM ignores them as cranks. The consequences can be devastating for those who don’t back the approved narrative.

“Tony had over a year looking for an intermediate host” to explain the natural-evolution theory of COVID-19 “and still hadn’t found one” when Redfield went on CNN in 2021 to defend the lab-leak hypothesis, Redfield continued.

Scientific American accused Redfield of promoting a conspiracy theory based on “xenophobia,” which Redfield suspects was due to Fauci’s influence at that publication.

“I was threatened, my life was threatened,” he said. “I have letters I got from prominent scientists, that previously gave me awards, telling me that the best thing I could do for the world was to shoot myself because of what I said.”

He believes that “Fauci and Collins were behind a lot of” the conspiracy and “anti-Asian hate” claims about the lab-leak theory, and plans to elaborate in a book once Chinese Communist Party leadership changes. Redfield said “big publishers” frowned on his book proposal because it promotes the lab-leak theory.

The lab leak theory has always been the most likely scenario for how COVID spread. A natural creation of the virus’ structure would be highly improbable, and there has never been an animal host reservoir discovered. Is a natural occurrence possible? Sure, anything is possible. But Occam’s Razor suggests a human origin.

As usual we are being force fed a narrative, and we are being asked to sit down, shut up, and do what we are told.

That works well for the Establishment. Not so well for the rest of us.
