It’s hard to believe it has been a year since we first wrote about plant-based and cell-cultivated meats. We looked into what Bill Gates was up to; why is he always involved in things like this? And we told the story of the Italian senate pushing back against lab-engineered pepperoni and prosciutto.
Of course, we talked about the climate agenda. This is certainly the main driver for alternative meats, because, as you know, methane gas from farting cows are literally going to bring the planet down (sarcasm mine).
What’s been going on in the last year? It turns out this issue has gotten a whole lot meatier.
We turn to TTR guest author Jon Fleetwood who has been keeping up with this issue. Be sure to read his amazing substack here.
Last year, our article mentioned startup companies like Upside Foods and Believer Meats, but Fleetwood tells us of a stunning new development: the Pentagon is investing in lab-grown meat.
The Pentagon?
It turns out that the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) increased the research budget for BioMADE from $87.5 million to over $500 million. BioMADE is a US research institute for advancing biomanufacturing. It launched in 2021, and its research efforts and investments are done to mitigate the consequences of global climate change.
Fake Meat to Weaken the Military?
Why is the US government using millions of taxpayer dollars to fund the fake meat industry? It’s not the first time. Recall Barack Obama’s 2010 failed green energy projects like Solyndra, which cost taxpayers $570 million. OpentheBooks.com has a list of these failures, in case you are interested.
Now, Biden has a $2.3 trillion infrastructure plan that includes nonsense “green energy” provisions just like Solyndra and the DoD; companies are given federal loans to develop commercial technologies. But is it much more targeted and sinister this time with BioMADE?
The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) says yes:
“U.S. cattle producers raise the highest-quality beef in the world, with the lowest carbon footprint—and American troops deserve to be served that same wholesome, natural meat and not ultra-processed, lab-grown protein that is cooked up in a chemical-filled bioreactor. This misguided research project is a giant slap in the face to everyone that has served our country. Our veterans and active-duty troops deserve so much better than this.”
Is this an active way to make our military unhealthy and sick, just like with the COVID jab mandates? Fleetwood points out that BioMADE indeed has ties to the World Economic Forum (WEF), the international globalist organization advancing the climate change narrative. The BioMADE chief strategy officer and board members are WEF contributors. Read Fleetwood’s full article on this here. (Side note: Fleetwood has published a list of every company partnered with the WEF, as of the January 2024 Davos meeting. Get that list here. It’s good information to have.)
U.S. Representative Don Bacon (R-NE) pointed out that BioMADE products are not yet approved for grocery store shelves, yet DoD wants to use them for military rations. Our troops certainly deserve better than to be used as lab rats.
As much as the WEF tells us that meat is terrible, it is still a whole food. Dietician Samantha Cassetty says most consumers question the healthiness of these fake meat alternatives. Many of the plant-based and cell-based meat alternatives are still highly processed. For example, the Impossible Whopper has significantly more sodium and many other highly processed ingredients like modified food starch, cultured dextrose and soy protein isolate.
It seems that consumers are not buying the push for fake meat. In late June, McDonald’s decided not to launch its fake-meat McPlant burger after it did poorly in the San Francisco and Dallas test markets.
But to the WEF, it is not about consumer choice; they want to force us to eat the bugs and be happy. In short, they would love nothing more than to shove these fake meats down our throats – literally.
And it’s not just for the sake of climate change either.
The WEF would like to have docile worker bees that are too beaten down and unhealthy to rise up against their globalist domination. Is the push for these fake meats part of that plan?
It would seem so, as Fleetwood has so aptly pointed out in several health-related articles. It seems that meat is crucial to our health. Who knew?
Meat is essential for brain health, according to Harvard-trained physician Dr. Georgia Ede. She says meat is indispensable for brain nourishment, pointing out that meat’s unique nutritional profile of essential vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients is critical for brain health. Ede says that meat is “the only food that contains every nutrient we need in its proper form,” and says meat is superior for managing blood sugar and insulin levels. Read Fleetwood’s full article here.
Indeed, two new studies supports Ede’s claim. First, a recent study published in Current Developments in Nutrition found a link between creatine supplementation and improvement in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Meat, particularly beef, is the primary dietary source of creatine, a substance that helps supply energy to muscle cells by increasing adenosine triphosphate (ATP) formation. Read Fleetwood’s full report here.
A second new study shows that meat-free diets in schoolchildren are linked to higher rates of obesity: “The prevalence of over weight and obesity among the children who followed meat-free DP was significantly higher than that of other children.” Read Fleetwood’s full article here.
When COVID jabs meet meat
Most interesting are Fleetwood’s articles showing that non-meat eaters suffered more from COVID-related issues. First, a study published last month in the Journal of Family Medicine and Primary Care absolutely shows that vegetarians had more adverse reactions following COVID-19 vaccination (Covishield) than meat eaters. In all, 7 in 10 experienced adverse events, with a statistically significant association between diet and adverse events. Read Fleetwood’s full report here.
COVID-vaccinated people also seem to have a higher prevalence for developing a meat allergy known as alpha-gal syndrome, an allergy to an oligosaccharide present in beef, pork, lamb and other mammalian meats. A new study in The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology: In Practice shows that alpha-gal sensitization is higher in those individuals who are COVID-jabbed. While a direct causal link could not be confirmed, the findings are striking: “Of 267 enrollees, 43 (16%) were sensitized to alpha-gal.” Fleetwood explains that this means nearly 2 in 10 participants who received the COVID shot exhibited sensitization to alpha-gal.
Just a big misunderstanding
I’m sure all of this is nothing to worry about. Don’t worry that more and more fake meat companies are cropping up, and don’t worry that their executives have ties to the WEF. Certainly don’t lose any sleep over the fact that the DOD increased its budget for fake meat research more than 5-fold.
Don’t worry that they want our soldiers to eat fake meat, they want us to eat fake meat, and that they’re engineering our fruits and vegetables, too, as Dr. Tenpenny tells us in a recent substack article she wrote.
Don’t worry that the globalists care more about climate than your health, and don’t worry that the COVID jabs seem to cause more damage in those who have decided to be meat-free. I’m sure it is all just a big misunderstanding.
