Article Source: Twitter Trolled Dems With Maxine Waters’ Own Quote Calling For Violence Against Trump – and Liberals LOST IT | MRCTV
Democrats just got trolled, and the hypocrisy it exposed would be hilarious…if it weren’t so awful.
To tell this story, we have to back up a minute and recall how Democrat Congresswoman Maxine Waters, who hails from California, went viral last year – at least, in some circles – for encouraging her supporters to openly harass any member of the Trump administration that they might see out and about in public. Her tirade came around the time that multiple members of the Trump administration were being openly harassed while dining at restaurants, and even getting kicked out of some establishments because of who they worked for.
“History will record while he tried to step on all of us, we kicked him in his rear and step on him,” Waters had screamed at the time. “If you think we’re rallying now, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet! Already, you have members of your Cabinet that are being booed out of restaurants […]who have protesters taking up at their house, who say, ‘No peace, no sleep! No peace, no sleep!”
“Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up and if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” she yelled to her supporters, who, of course, screamed back in hysterical glee.
But liberals have a funny habit of going temporarily deaf when one of their own calls for harassment and assault on members of the “other side,” choosing instead to only come out against violence on the rare occasion that a conservative is seen engaging in some less-then-chivalrous behavior.
Taking advantage of that double standard, a Twitter account by the name of @CuomoWatch altered Waters’ quote slightly, changing its target from the now-former Trump administration to that of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who’s recently come under fire for allegedly undercounting his state’s nursing home deaths due to COVID and reportedly incentivizing care facilities to take in sick patients to the detriment of their other inhabitants.
To change the game, @CuomoWatch tweeted: “If you see anybody from the Cuomo Administration in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”

Hilariously, the now-viral tweet was instantly met with pushback from slews of prominent leftists, including dozens of elected officials, who slammed it as an “unacceptable” call for violence on par with the January 6 riots at the U.S. Capitol.
This is encouraging violence against public officials – plain & simple. Absolutely disgusting. No tolerance for this.

“Really? Did we not learn anything from the Capitol insurrection? We must condemn violence and harassment in any form. #StopTheViolence #MobMentality,” tweeted Democratic New York City Councilwoman Debi Rose.

Democrat New York State Assembly member Daniel Rosenthal called it “dangerous and unacceptable,” while Democrat sate Senator Jamaal T. Bailey tweeted, “This is more than tonedeaf, especially considering what’s happened in recent days. This is unacceptable and ridiculous.”
This is dangerous and unacceptable, especially after what happened in DC. Encouraging this kind of violence is unacceptable. https://t.co/y1zvhJbKeR

Democratic Speaker of the New York State Assembly Carl E. Heastie tweeted, “This is appalling and dangerous. Encouraging violence must never be tolerated. Shame on whoever is behind this kind of garbage.”
