Dr. Mary Talley Bowden joined the DailyClout to discuss her battle to treat patients properly
Practicing Medicine
Dr. Mary Talley Bowden is an ENT by trade. Dr. Bowden’s dedication to practicing medicine and treating her patients have led her down a path that few others have been willing to take – treating COVID patients.
Contrary to the FDA’s official COVID guidance to wait at home until one can’t breathe and then show up to the hospital in bad shape, Dr. Bowden sought out early treatment for COVID using therapeutics and monoclonal antibody treatment for her patients, which is delivered via IV. According to Houston Methodist, “by targeting the spike protein, these specific antibodies interfere with the virus’s ability to attach and gain entry into human cells. They give the immune system a leg up until it can mount its own response.”
At the beginning of the pandemic, Dr. Bowden prescribed monoclonal antibodies for her patients with serious COVID symptoms, and it proved to be very successful. The process was smooth, and Dr. Bowden was able to order the treatment directly from the manufacturer. Months later, the federal government took over the process of distributing monoclonal antibodies, and since then it’s been a daily struggle for Dr. Bowden to treat patients. Ironically, the reason given by the federal government for taking over control of the distribution of this treatment was to avoid shortages.
Dr. Bowden began to research Ivermectin as a treatment when the monoclonal antibodies became difficult to obtain for patients. She ended up adopting the FLCCC protocol, which has Ivermectin included in its first line of treatment, and found that while it worked a bit slower than the monoclonal antibodies, it was still highly effective. By now Dr. Bowden has treated more than 5,500 patients, and every single one who received early treatment stayed out of the hospital.
“It’s Like the Underground Railroad, Trying to Find Pharmacies to Dispense it”
Ivermectin was difficult to prescribe and find from day one. A cheap, safe drug that’s been in use for decades was suddenly unavailable. By now, Dr. Bowden has her go-to pharmacists who will dispense Ivermectin, but chain pharmacies like Walgreens or CVS refused to fulfill her prescriptions, based on advice from the FDA. It was of course highly frustrating for Dr. Bowden to prescribe medication for sick patients who needed it ASAP, only to be turned away.
As Dr. Bowden explained, the FDA’s job is to approve drugs for safety. Once a drug is approved, the FDA is not meant to get in between a physician and his patient in terms of how to use approved drugs to treat illnesses.
Suing the FDA
Dr. Robert Apter and Dr. Paul Marik are two other doctors who have suffered consequences to their careers due to their use of Ivermectin in treating COVID patients. Dr. Marik lost privileges at his hospital, and Dr. Apter and Dr. Bowden are both facing multiple charges from different medical boards.
Dr. Bowden teamed up with Dr. Paul Marik and Dr. Robert Apter to file a lawsuit against the FDA over their interference in the practice of medicine. The lawsuit was rejected, and the plaintiffs have filed an appeal.
Texas Lindsay on Twitter put together a fantastic thread outlining Dr. Bowden’s case:
“Third-Party Free” – BreatheMD
Dr. Bowden opened her own private medical practice called BreatheMD, which is completely independent of outside influences. She calls herself “third-party free” and does not work with insurance companies, governments, or hospitals. The full price list is transparently on their website, and the cost is the cost.
“The Only People I Work For Are My Patients”
In addition to suing the FDA, Dr. Bowden is battling the medical system over her insistence on treating patients. Her medical license is being threatened by the Texas Medical Board due to her use of Ivermectin as a COVID treatment based on complaints from two Texas hospitals. She is not being accused of harming a single patient, and as stated has successfully treated over 5,500 COVID patients.

If the FDA is allowed to continuously insert itself in between a doctor and her patient, medicine as we know it will be changed forever.
