Lionsgate has told its employees to mask up again as several new COVID-19 variants are spreading in the United States. Workers must remain masked up while working amongst colleagues, and can only be removed for specific tasks such as eating.
Not to be outdone, an Atlanta college has also insisted on reinstating its mask mandate as students return to school from summer break. Morris Brown College is once again requiring students and employees to wear face masks on campus.
It looks like we could experience another slow slide into medical tyranny soon unless people are willing to stand up for themselves this time.
According to a report by The Independent, this policy change follows several employees testing positive for Covid in recent days and weeks, and the national rise in people being admitted to hospital for the virus. The email was delivered by Sommer McElroy, Response Manager for Lionsgate/Starz.
“Employees must wear a medical grade face covering (surgical mask, KN95 or N95) when indoors except when alone in an office with the door closed, actively eating, actively drinking at their desk or workstation, or if they are the only individual present in a large open workspace,” McElroy said in the memo, first reported by Deadline. Remember, the virus can’t get you while you’re eating or drinking. Only if you try to be social.
Since the idiocy of 2020, several studies have been conducted that show face masks are less than useless at preventing colds, cases of flu, and COVID-19. They are pretty good at restricting oxygen to the brain, however.
Not to mention, no one will be getting the flu this year, or a cold. Once again, everything is going to be labeled COVID in order the panic the gullible masses into compliance.
The mandate will remain in place for the foreseeable future.
As far as Morris Brown College goes, President Kevin James told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in an email Monday that the college has received no reports of cases on its own campus yet. He described the steps as “precautionary measures.”
Morris Brown also instructed students to maintain physical distancing and said there will be no parties or large student gatherings on campus for the next two weeks. It will require students and employees to undergo temperature checks when they arrive on campus.
