CNN went into full meltdown mode on Saturday night when former President Donald Trump’s Twitter account “@realdonaldtrump” was restored by its new owner Elon Musk. Watch:
“Do you think that this will cause, Sarah, a mass exodus of some Twitter users from the platform?” Brianna Keilar asked.
“I can’t say how users are going to react, especially because you know about half of them voted to reinstate him,” the reporter noted. “But I do know that advertisers are going to be very skittish about this decision.”
“Brianna, I spoke with one of the biggest advertising agencies last week, and one of the things that they were saying is that they’re issuing guidance to advertisers right now, but that many of their clients are skeptical about remaining on the platform if Donald Trump is reinstated, they don’t want to have anything to do with January 6th or questions about democracy or the validity of the elections in 2020,” she added. “And so I think that the reinstatement of Trump can just exacerbate some of the exodus we’ve seen from advertisers to date.”
However, one of the first tweets to get traction after @realdonaldtrump was reactivated was one where he explicitly condemned any violence on January 6.
I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order – respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!

Trump also instructed everyone to remain peaceful in a video.

Donald Trump urged users to “vote with positivity” during Musk’s poll but said “don’t worry, we aren’t going anywhere. Truth Social is special!”

The president originally had his Twitter account “permanently” suspended for alleged concern about the “risk of further incitement of violence.” The permanent suspension was announced two days after the January 6 riot.
Twitter employees were tasked with carrying out a review of the president’s tweets that were purportedly the cause of his suspension.
Reminder: Trump was ultimately suspended by Twitter for “glorification of violence” tweets that had nothing to do with violence. It was, and still is, Woke nonsense that he is not allowed on the platform. pic.twitter.com/Xm0wWzSACn

“We assessed the two Tweets referenced above under our Glorification of Violence policy, which aims to prevent the glorification of violence that could inspire others to replicate violent acts and determined that they were highly likely to encourage and inspire people to replicate the criminal acts that took place at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021,” Twitter claimed.
However, as can clearly be seen above, these tweets that have nothing to do with violence. It was, and still is, Woke nonsense that Trump is not allowed on the platform. Now, Elon Musk has changed all that.
Musk had earlier floated a Twitter poll about reinstating Trump’s account.
Vox Populi, Vox Dei

“Reinstate former President Trump,” Musk asked. “Vox Populi, Vox Dei,” he added, which is Latin for “the voice of the people is the voice of God.” This meant that the people’s decision would determine the outcome.
The rogue tech CEO’s poll burned up Twitter, leading to over 15 million votes. This would put the tweet squarely in one of the biggest polls of all time.
Twitter’s reaction to the news about Donald Trump’s account was a mixture of jubilation and horror.
Trump supporters burst out into celebration upon the restoration of the former president’s account.

Twitter users reported difficulty following @realdonaldtrump after Elon Musk restored the 45th President’s account and the ‘follow’ button was not properly working. However, this does not mean that your account won’t refollow @realdonaldtrump when the list fully repopulates, even though the ‘follow’ button isn’t properly working. It may take up to 24 hours for the followers to repopulate and users will need to monitor to check if they are following.
Elon Musk delivered. Now, Trump’s account is back. Twitter followers will now have to wait and see if the former president changes his mind and makes a triumphant return.
