Celebrities Tried To Cancel American Independence Day
These Actresses Tried To “CANCEL” the Fourth Of July
(TheRedWire.com) – The 4th of July provides the nation an opportunity to get together with family and friends and celebrate the country’s independence. However, this year a group of female celebrities decided to take the holiday as an opportunity to attempt to cancel the continued importance of American Independence Day in an apparent effort to politicize the recent Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade (1973).
For example, singer Katie Perry took to social media to commemorate the event by sniping at the Supreme Court’s ruling. She posted, “Baby, you’re a firework,” but that American women have “fewer rights” than sparklers.

Perry wasn’t alone. Kim and Kourtney Kardashian posted a meme of her remarks on Instagram and announced that “due to a shortage of independence,” the 4th of July has been canceled. Better Midler also posted the image, noting that the Supreme Court stripped women of their bodies and rights.
Other celebrity women made similar remarks on their social media accounts, including actress Jessica Chastain. She posted a photo of herself holding up her two middle fingers to celebrate America’s birthday.
Likewise, actresses Diane Kruger and Lisa Rinna said there wasn’t much to celebrate this year and warned women not to allow all their rights to be stricken.
So, what do you say? What do you think of these statements?
