Chicago: At least 30 shot, 3 killed, during weekend in Mayor Lightfoot’s gun-controlled Chicago

CHICAGO, IL – The city of Chicago endured yet another troubling weekend as it relates to violence within the city. According to reports, between the evening of March 26th through the 28th, at least 30 people were shot, three of whom died as a result of their sustained wounds.

On the afternoon of March 28th, a 32-year-old man was said to have been fatally shot in Logan Square on Chicago’s Northwest Side.

He was reportedly shot in the neck and head about approximately 4:35 p.m. within the 3500-block of West Cortland Avenue, according to Chicago Police. He was transported to Illinois Masonic Medical Center and later pronounced deceased. The man has yet to be named by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

On March 27th, a 36-year-old man was gunned down in West Pullman on the South Side.

The victim was said to have been sitting inside of a parked car within the 700 block of East 103rd Street around 11:40 p.m. when three male assailants approached him and one of them reportedly opened fire on the victim, according to Chicago police.

Police sources say that the victim was shot in the chest, arm, and buttocks. He was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased. The Cook County medical examiner’s office later identified the victim as Kieer Pargo.

Hours before that fatal shooting, a 29-year-old man was gunned down on Chicago’s South Side while also inside of a vehicle.

The victim was reportedly inside a car within the 11900-block of South Prairie Avenue at approximately 6:05 p.m. when a vehicle pulled up beside his and opened fire…
