Video Updates: Mexican Border in Chaos as Title 42 Ends

Share this:

CIS analyst Todd Bensman is live at the border in Matamoros and Reynosa, Mexico at a massive migrant camp. He has been watching thousands of migrants flooding into the U.S. all day; they are not waiting for the end of Title 42. Mexican immigration officials on the ground are powerless to do anything.

At the Reynosa bus station, another sampling from the Great CBP One Humanitarian Entry Permit Giveaway program. These guys, including Chinese, paying bus fare to the Matamoros-Brownsville bridgefor “legal” escorts among hundreds daily the Bidenguv won’t count as illegal crossers pic.twitter.com/zCAuAETJQF

A reminder that Bidenguv is hauling in vastly increased numbers of unvetted and UN-interviewed (is that even a word?) immigrants on CBP One app “humanitarian” permits granted to 99 % of applicants IN Mexico. Here’s the Brownsville port facility they process through pic.twitter.com/XcA9HDAFQe

Don’t let Biden people get away with pointing to lower border “apprehensions” stats. They’re just shifting them all to ports like this one at Matamoros-Brownsville, where hundreds an hour are now entering on unvetted humanitarian permits given out on the CBP-One cell app pic.twitter.com/eClFDUiil4

I am being told that because of these Texas soldiers at all the previously chaotic Matamoros crossings, immigrants are moving to Piedras Negras to cross at Eagle Pass as an alternative. Worth watching that as, for the first time since I’ve been in town, the river here is placid. pic.twitter.com/FUnYQo4xni

A Mexican immigration services officer in Matamoros describes the impact today of ⁦@GregAbbott_TX⁩ ‘s “Thou Shalt Not Pass” riverbank operations in this area. For perspective, review my past four days of footage from here of US-Mex coordinated mass migration here pic.twitter.com/qCPU7K1wQj

What some Venezuelans in Matamoros think of their new Texas National Guard and @txdps adversaries who now block, stop and deter at the razor wired riverbank line, ordered by ⁦@GregAbbott_TXpic.twitter.com/hxbVLlNHrH

— Todd Bensman (@BensmanTodd) May 12, 2023

The Texans shout out scripted lines when the immigrants start hitting the water. “It’s dangerous” … “stop! “Turn back right now and go to a port of entry” “it’s dangerous to take your kids into the river” The Texican Standoff! pic.twitter.com/60GWTRYbwP

— Todd Bensman (@BensmanTodd) May 12, 2023

The immigrants get right up to the razor wire and Texans and then move laterally along them for hundreds of yards but don’t get in. Border Patrol is completely absent from all this here at the matamoros- Brownsville crossing areas pic.twitter.com/zvNnJzqaKY

I guess this will come down to who is more persistent. Another hour or two of title 42 and I’m guessing this Texican stand-off will keep on keeping on pic.twitter.com/vHJ1Ei9SfX

Part 6 Texican standoff: on second though, maybe new and learning parents SHOULD watch this video pic.twitter.com/8a14vkO2W1

Part II after losing a Texican Standoff: the immigrants swam back, and got mired down in this super dangerous crossing: Warning: not suitable watching for new parents pic.twitter.com/esxFGlPSYa

Part 1: what happens after losing a Texican Standoff…this large group swam back to Matamoros, walked several hundred yards down river and tried again pic.twitter.com/wcdMN3aKNL

Quite literally a Mexican standoff here in Matamoros looking across at Brownsville. ⁦@GregAbbott_TX⁩ national guard and DPS will not let them pass. pic.twitter.com/TzoIQQka7A

Thousands upon thousands of Haitians in Reynosa. What will they do? The CBPOne app wait for humanitarian permits is months long, even if the Biden government opens wide the aperture pic.twitter.com/7JmIm3d7Cj

— Todd Bensman (@BensmanTodd) May 11, 2023

Meanwhile 50 miles upstream in Reynosa 15000 Haitians are wondering whether to stay or go over the river after title 42 ends
More coming pic.twitter.com/ooBdIyYc9k

Part 2: ⁦@GregAbbott_TX⁩ ‘s newly deployed National Guard tactical unit guarding from the razor wire on riverbanks late last night from Matamoros. I am told they can use non-lethal force if physically challenged. pic.twitter.com/ZuKbxvRP4e

Part 1: Here’s what Gov. ⁦@GregAbbott_TX⁩ new tactical National Guard force looked like last night on the razor wire. From Matamoros. I’m told Texas will stop immigrants ON the river and that they may use non-lethal force like pepper balls if physically challenged pic.twitter.com/SGq9pvwmup

Just another small turn of the screw in the greatest ever mass migration crisis in US – and world – history. pic.twitter.com/hm3PPPUCXK

Mexican immigration’s power of persuasion is about as persuasive as is the American Title 42 expulsion threat and, I predict, its coming “Title 8” replacement. Eventually, Venezuelans blow them off and cross… pic.twitter.com/iKGXOmjLiA

Tension in Matamoros between throngs of fully prepared border crossers and unarmed Mexican immigration officers who I believe were ordered to make a fake losing show of blocking access to the river. All are going one way or another because, they attest, Biden is letting them in. pic.twitter.com/6omU3VDeaT

Unarmed Mexican immigration unable to hold back the human tide in Matamoros Mexico. These migrants all know someone who swam over and is now living in New Jersey or wherever. pic.twitter.com/r9W8kq821l

So ON in Matamoros. Thousands just POURING into Brownsville and prepping to keep right on POURING over pic.twitter.com/hUvpREnOSZ

Dagistan, Belarus, and Russia are all represented here at this Matamoros Mexico hotel. Along with many Kyrgyzstanis. All granted “humanitarian parole” appointments in two weeks using the CBP One app. On their merry ways to Philly, Denver, and LA. pic.twitter.com/M5uTqMeLiO

Cubans in a huge Matamoros Mexico camp last night told me they all will immediately cross the Rio Grande illegally the second they hear – on a regular newscast – that the Americans are letting anyone in after Title 42 ends Thursday. pic.twitter.com/f0penfxuwo

Venezuelans in a huge Matamoros Mexico camp last night told me they’ll watch and wait for the end of title 42 and if the see the Americans start letting anyone through under the new Title 8 scheme will immediately cross illegally. pic.twitter.com/s5O1FVuLnJ
