May 7, 2023: On May 5, 2023, Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov met with Chinese Foreign Minister and State Counselor, Qin Gang, in Goa, India to discuss global cooperation across SCO, G20, BRICS, and the United Nations; to stop global control by small, but powerful interest groups or nations; to safeguard the common interests of emerging nations; and to uphold international fairness and justice.
According to a press statement from the People’s Republic of China, the two national leaders mutually agreed that both Russia and China would;

strengthen strategic communication, and consolidate and deepen cooperation in various fields.

strengthen cooperation in economy and trade, deepen cultural and people-to-people exchanges, and push for the facilitation of personnel exchanges between the two sides.

uphold the larger interest of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) solidarity and cooperation, and build the SCO into a platform of mutually beneficial cooperation for member states.
